Baby, baby, baby, hey!
Felix, like anyone with ears, can't stop his hips from shaking when James Brown is playing. Today he gave props to the hardest working man by falling down several times while making it funky! It all happened so fast, and crippled me with laughter, that I couldn't get a video. Maybe next time.

Daddy daycare
Felix and I had the pleasure of hosting a playdate with Lincoln and Zoë this morning. Fortunately Zoë's dad, JJ was there to at least cover zone. Here is a picture of the dog pile move he used to distract them while I ran a play. Thanks JJ, for taking one for the team!

Family stroll in the gorge
This last weekend we our friends Kristin and Zakk got married in Hood River. We were able to sneak away from all of the action and take a walk up Historic Highway 30, this portion of the road is closed to cars. Some great views with the four of us.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt
There is definitely something moving around in my belly! Little baby has been very active lately - bringing a smile to my face with every kick. Big brother Fe is learning to be careful when plopping into my lap - and he is starting to say baby and to pat my belly when I hold him.
Growing
Dani had me snap a few pictures of her and the fleeting glimpses of Felix's babyhood. He is such a big kid and everyday reminds us that he is growing up and things like laying in our lap and sipping on a bottle will soon be a thing of the past. We are so happy to have a healthy big brother to the next little and hopefully healthy Gillet.

Clemintine
Felix has a girlfriend that he spends most days with at daycare. Until today I hadn't met Clementine, and was limited to a description via quick emails and chats with our day care provider, Joanna. She said, they are roughly the same age, and Clementine is completely smitten with Felix, but her constant hugs, zealous sharing and the occasional kiss, went unrequited for a few weeks. Finally, this week, Felix has opened up his- apparently cold- heart to her. Running late this morning granted me the pleasure of meeting his love interest; and I have to hand it to Felix for playing hard to get, because she is a doll.
Recharger
It has been a long week; two meetings going until well after 7 have put me home right at Felix's bedtime. On Wednesday, Dani was nice enough to bring half asleep Felix out to kiss me goodnight. Last night I got home a bit later and was very quiet entering the house, and could see that Felix's door was open with Dani in there easing him to slumbertown. It was not more than 30 seconds later that the little guy came bursting out of the room with a huge smile and arms spread to hug me. All the stress off the day instantly melted as I picked him up for a big hug. He is my little walking, human battery recharger!
